Ever happen to you?? Part 2

So, as Aaron and I moved to this new town about two months ago, we had to get some things figured out. New pediatric doctor, new dentist, figure out the roads, adjust to the change in cost of living, etc, etc, etc. One thing we had to do was find a new bank. There are lots of small town banks in this place but only one large particially international banks so, naturally, we went with that one. We opened our accounts and got things up and running. Two weeks ago, I made a deposit of $600.00 from our savings in our old bank into our new bank. I deposited the check through the ATM (a cool perk of this large bank) and the next day the money was withdrawn from my savings account. I waited and waited for the money to show up in my checking account but it never did. So, I made a call to the bank where they are "investigating" the deposit. Ten days we have gone not hearing anything and as pay day approaches, I am very reluctant to deposit Aaron's check into the bank because of this mishap that is still under "investigation." Where could 600 dollars have gone and why after ten days has it not appeared in my account? I have record of it being withdrawn from my savings and I have the receipt of deposit from the bank.

This is such a strange mistake. And now the question... has this ever happened to any of you? I am seriously thinking about closing my account and finding a new bank. What would you do?

New bank!! I would say that a local bank would be your better option. We hope the mystery gets solved. Hope all goes better from here on out.

Scary! I hope the "investigation" find it! How irresponsible of them! I would get a new bank. But before you do, tell them that if they don't find it you will get a new bank and spread the word of how they lost your money. And then after they find it, get a new bank anyway, but be nicer in the spreading of the word.
