Canning. I love canning. One of the best things about the fall is the harvest and the preserving. This year, I have done less than I have ever done in my married life. I think that it's a mix of the poor garden production (the late and early frost has been really hard on everything this year) and my pregnancy that has worn me out (21 more days until the due date). Anyway, we have done peaches and pears, a little bit of apple sauce and a few tomatoes. Weird not to have salsa this year or any apple pie filling. I also didn't make any juice or jam from my peaches, which is pretty uncommon and the strawberries are STILL in the freezer waiting for me to make freezer jam from them. Maybe next year.

Staying busy
We finally got our lap top fixed but for some reason, I have had a really hard time getting pictures to load. Anyway, here are just a few pictures of what we have been up to.

Last night was the Fairview Elem. School Carnival. It is where my Grandma taught and where my aunt teaches. I have gone to the carnival every year for as long as I can remember. Last night, I took my kids and they loved it. Here they are enjoying their dinner. Hot dogs are always a hit with my kids.
This is the swing my grandpa made. I really didn't get any great pictures of it or my kids on it, but we spent a lot of time riding it. My grandpa made it out of old tractor parts and I have many memories riding it as a kid. My uncle runs it every year at the carnival now. This was the first time Todd and Brooklyn got to ride it and after a little coaxing to get them on the first time, we couldn't get them to do anything else.
Grandpa said that Grandma gave him a lot of advice while making it. He said that when he hooked up the motor for the first time, it went way too fast and he had to figure out how to slow it down. It took a pully and a piece of ply wood, but he said he felt silly that grandma was the one who figured it out.
We have tried to keep busy. Aaron has been super busy with work and his internship and we have been trying hard to enjoy the warm days before the cold weather hits- plus, when the baby comes, I think we will be a little more house bound for a while.

Gotta love the fair! Great pictures!!!
So cute! I want to do more canning. This year I made apple butter in my crockpot that turned out pretty good.
I think you did an amazing job considering you are 3 weeks from having a baby! You are awesome, girlie :)
